I Just Won A Blogger Award....So Sweet!!!

Awww.. Stacy from http://lovethatbug.blogspot.com/ just gave me this sweet blog award. Thank you SO much Stacy.. you are just a super sweetheart and I am so glad that I met you and we are blogging buddies!!

The rules for the award are the following:
1) Send a thank you to the person who nominated you and include their link.
2) To accept this award, I had to answer 7 random facts about me.
3) Pass the award on to at least 8 other awesome blog buddies.
So here are 7 random facts about me...

1) I talk to my sweet Bella (my little yorkie-poo) like she is a little person! She understands everything I say.. it is so amazing! Since day 1 I have talked to her like that and I guess she just learned over time what I was talking about.
This picture was just taken while I took Bella outside to go potty. Isn't she so sweet? She is my furry best friend and I love her so much!!!

2) I am a super shop-a-holic..lol. Just ask my husband. :o)
I especially love to buy craft supplies. I don't drink, smoke or do drugs so I think being a shop-a-holic is just fine.. don't ya think?? LOL My husband does not agree..lol.. Men!! :o)

3) Since January 2006 I have sponsored a child and his family from The Gambia. His name is Salifu and he is amazing. We write letters back and forth and he sends me his report cards and other school work that he has done many times a year. I also send Salifu and his family LOTS of care packages and they love it. Salifu and his family has been the BIGGEST blessing to me. If you can do it I would highly recommend being a sponsor to a child who desperately needs help. I know that you will get more out of it then they do. The charity that I go through is http://www.childfund.org/ and it is simply AMAZING! If you ever decide to sponsor a child you will receive SO much in return that you would have never expected. When I first met Salifu he was only 5 years old and now he is almost 11 years old. His birthday is June 28th, so he will turn 11 in just a week or so. I cannot believe how much he has grown. One day my family will travel to The Gambia and visit him and his family. Salifu wants to be a doctor when he grows up and I know he will achieve his goal!

4) Photography is a passion of mine. It has always been. I once made a camera out of an oatmeal container and took pictures with it. Boy, that was along time ago.

5) I love to collect Invicta watches and Longaberger baskets.
I have too many Longaberger baskets to count. I have been to Dresden, Ohio where the headquarters is located many times. If you can go I would highly recommend that. I even got to make my own Longaberger basket and it is beautiful. I just took a picture to show you what it looks like. I made this back in 1996.

6) I don't like change. I like things to stay the same and that goes for everything in my life. This might be because when I was a young child my family moved so many times that I cannot count. So with us moving and building a new house it is a challenge for me.

7) I can eat the same foods every day for months. My dad was that way and I must have got that from him. When I was little he would ask my mom to make Tuna Noodle Casserole all the time. To this day she will not make it because she hates it that much..lol.

Now to pass this sweet blog award on to 8 other blogs...

Again, thank you so much Stacy for picking me for this really sweet award. You are just a sweetheart and I am so glad that you are my blogging friend!!

As always you all know how much I love comments so if you could leave me one showing me that you were here I would love that!! Off to play with Bella for a while. Talk to you all soon. ~Terri

P.S. I am getting together a HUUUUGE giveaway in honor of Father's Day. More information about that will come soon!

I Just Ordered My Peachy Keen Stamps That I Won...

So I just got an email with my gift certificate from Peachy Keen Stamps for the blog candy that I won from Heidi at http://gotscraps.blogspot.com I was not sure what set I was going to pick so I asked my 10 year old daughter Hallie to help me chose. After looking at each and every stamp set available Hallie wanted me to get this set which is called
PK-450 Wide Eyed Kids Face Assortment.

They are so adorable and I can see these little faces being used in so many ways. This was a shock for me today finding out that I won a gift certificate for PKS and it really made my day!!

Thanks again to Peachy Keen Stamps and to Heidi at http://gotscraps.blogspot.com/ for picking my name.
I really really appreciate it so much!!
I also wanted to thank my sweet little Hallie for helping me pick out which set to get.
Your the best Hallie Bleu and I love you to pieces!!
Thanks for helping mommy!

We are just getting over a terrible thunderstorm. We lost our power for a few minutes and our satellite went out many times during the storm. Bella started barking when she first heard the thunder...she did not know what it was..lol. She is to funny. For the past few days Bella has not been feeling very well. I think it all started when I took her to the vet and she got 2 vaccines, blood work and a few other things done. I know the blood work did not cause her to feel bad but the vaccines could have for sure. Yesterday she was sick to her tummy and shook alot of the day. Poor baby. But today is a new day and she is MUCH better. She is back to her normal self. Thank goodness.
I hate seeing her sick like that.
Well I hope everyone has a great rest of the night and I will talk to you all real soon!! ~Terri

My Weeks Craft Item Haul....

Hi guys!! Since I have been so busy lately, I have not had a chance to post my latest haul on here so I wanted to do that now before I forget..my memory stinks a lot of the time..lol. As you can see I got TONS of Stampin' Up Stamps sets (which I LOVE as all of you do too!), I got tons of paper, and let me tell you that I did not need not one more sheet of paper...you should see my  paper stash. It is crazy how much I actually have. But I love paper so much and when I find cute paper I have to get it..lol. But 2 days ago I got my 2 Peachy Keen Stamps sets that I won via blog candy from Ruthie's blog at www.septemberninth.blogspot.com. Thank you again Ruthie.. I LOVE these stamps. They are soooo adorable!!

These 5 stacks of paper I got at a store called Tuesday Morning. A few months ago I never shopped there before because I really did not know what kind of stuff they had in the store. So one day I went in there and boy do I love this store. They have great deals on everything especially scrapbooking/card making supplies. These papers or cardstock rather are really adorable. The company that makes them is called "Paperage". Each stack has 60 sheets of cardstock in them and they were only $5.99 each. I wish you could see how utterly adorable these stacks are. The colors are so vibrant and the designs are so sweet. My 1st  stack is called Cocoa Blooms and it is mostly flowers, stripes and a few other designs. My 2nd stack is called Raspberry Cordial, the 3rd stack is called Cupcakes & Cherries, the 4th is called Sweet Shoppe and the last stack is called Social Butterfly. I think the Social Butterfly might be my favorite. Then a few days later I got 2 36 sheet stacks made by K & Company. Both stacks are called Color Basics Radiant. I also got 2 mat pads with 18 sheets each again from K & Company.  There is no name on these mat stacks. They match perfectly with the
2 12" x 12" stacks from K & Company.

Lately I have been collecting Provo Craft Clear Impressions Acrylic Stamp sets. I usually get most of my Stampin' Up and other brand name stamps off of Ebay.  It is amazing the crazy deals I get from Ebay. The 1st pack of Provo Craft stamps is sayings and the 2nd set as you can see is vines and leaves. If you have never tried or heard of these stamps from Provo Craft let me tell you that they are really great quality stamps. Before I got my 1st set I thought that they were acrylic cling stamps that  had to be mounted with a acrylic block but I was wrong. Each stamp comes mounted on a acrylic clear block already which is nice. Of course they are more bulky to store but it's worth it.  I now have 3 sets from Provo Craft and will be looking for more to collect. I got these 2 sets off of Ebay and for a great low price. If you want to try and find these on Ebay just type in Provo Craft Clear Impressions Stamps in the search box and if there are some available they will come up. They seem to be way more expensive then Stampin' Up stamps for some reason. But some times you can get them for way cheaper. It depends on the seller.

As you can see these pictures are close up pictures of all the stamp sets I got off of Ebay. What you don't see is a package of Glass Pearls that you can make bracelets with. I am going to use them on some of my cards. These pearls look SO real and I love the colors in this package. There are probably over 150 pearls in this pack. Then I got about 10 packs of .99 cent paper packs from Target. Every time I go to Target I always look to see what new packages they have and if I don't have them I will get all of the ones that I don't have. Oh, and I also got 1 12" x 12" 50 sheet stack from Colorbok and I got that from Walmart for $5.00. Once again, I did not need anymore paper but I really loved the colors in this stack. Well, after looking at my haul I think that is basically it. My most favorite place to buy my supplies besides Joanns and Michaels is Ebay. I get some pretty remarkable deals on Ebay. There have been so many times that I have won items on Ebay like 4 Stampin' Up sets for only $2.00 and I feel so guilty and bad for the seller. When that happens I will email the seller and give them the chance to relist the item in hopes that they will get more money in a new auction. I have never had a seller take me up on that offer but I just feel so bad for them. We all know how expensive stamps are especially Stampin' Up stamps.  On the last picture (right above) you can see 2 dog wood mounted stamps. I got those at Marcs and get this.. they were 5 stamps for .99 cents. They only had these 2 left as they were all gone. I have never bought stamps cheaper then that before. What a great deal. So if you have a Marcs near you make sure to check often as you never know what they have day to day. I almost forgot, I got a Martha Stewart glitter stamp starter set for only $3.50. It came with 7 pieces, 3 glitter containers, a glue stamp pad, a full sheet of stamps and an acrylic block. Even though I have enough glitter to cover the entire outside of my house it was a great deal and I had to get it. I think I covered most everything. It's alot, that's for sure but I love it!

Well, it is after 5 am and I have to get up early because I have a doctors appointment tomorrow so I need to try and get some sleep. Thanks for letting me share my newest haul with you.
I hope you all have a wonderful day tomorrow!! ~Terri

Two Pink Peas Tuesday's Tool Of The Week...

Before I get into this weeks
Two Pink Peas Tuesday's Tool Of The Week
I wanted to apologize for not posting lately. I have been having major problems with Blogger and I think I finally got it resolved. So today I am going to post a few post today to try and catch up. One post being the winner of the Cricut Cartridge and 12 packs of Peel N Stick Ribbon.
Thanks for hanging in there with me.

To start off I am going to go to this weeks tool that I chose. This is called The Silhouette and it is like the Cricut except that you hook this machine up to your computer like you would a printer. Unlike the Cricut where you have to purchase cartridges to cut out the design that you want, with the Silhouette you can purchase individual images that are available in the thousands. Also, you can use all of the fonts that are on your computer and cut those out. Those fonts are all free to cut. I have heard alot of good things about this Silhouette machine and am thinking about trying it once we get settled into our new house. If you are interested in getting more information about the Silhouette just go to http://www.silhouetteamerica.com and you will find all of the information and where to purchase. Some of the other things you can do with this machine is make temporary tattoos, obviously you can make cards and scrapbook pages, custom apparel, vinyl decor, sketch designs and etched glass.  So it is alot like the Cricut but I have read that this Silhouette cuts things out like butter and makes much smoother and cleaner cuts.

I am sure that most of you have heard of the Pazzle machine. This is another option as this machine does not use cartridges. This is what the Pazzle website says about this machine...

The Inspiration Creative Cutter® connects to your computer, similar to a printer, but instead of printing the Inspiration uses a small blade to cut your designs you have created, downloaded, or purchased. Imagine cutting any shape, font, or design in an amazing variety of sizes with the click of a button. The Inspiration® is capable of cutting more than just paper and cardstock though; from stencil plastic to chipboard, fabric to rubber stamp material, the Inspiration offers amazing flexibility and power. You can even draw, engrave, emboss, distress, and pierce with your Inspiration® using our added tools.

The Inspiration is a powerful system designed to help make your creative time fast, easy, and fun. The Inspiration® can grow and flex with you, so it never becomes outdated. The freedom to use your own fonts and design your own images means that every project you do can reflect your style.
So if you are looking for something to add to your Cricut or a different machine that you can purchase that can do what the Cricut does you can take a look at the Pazzle or the Silhouette. Here is a picture of the Pazzle...

For more information about the Pazzle go to http://pazzles.com/ and you will find all of the information about this machine. My mother in law owns this machine and she loves it. She uses it almost every single day and really loves it.

I hope these 2 picks for Two Pink Peas Tuesday's Tool Of The Week has given you something different to look at. More posts to come today. Thanks for visiting Two Pink Peas! Have a fabulous day everyone!! ~Terri
